Freight Elevators & Lifts

built though

Ideal for new construction

The Freight (Material) lift/VRC is a standard equipment choice for material handling and cargo and equipment transportation. It’s mainly used in factories, industrial institutions, plants, and more.

At CITI we offer you various options to choose from, including elevators hoisted by a hole-less hydraulic lift or Pit- less freight lifts.

FREE STANDNIG FREIGHT LIFT

Traditional elevators are built to be installed inside a bricks and motor hoistway and can cost money as well as time. The process of installing a traditional elevator is tedious, requiring the excavation of a pit & the construction of a hoistway. A freestanding freight lift is built inside prefabricated steel hoistways.

Freight Elevators

MOVE MATERIALS with ease

Ideal for new & existing buildings

Freight Elevators are designed and built for the smooth transportation of materials and cargo. They’re mainly used for carrying heavy loads and large volumes while withstanding rugged working conditions.

Our Freight Elevators are the most robust and durable on the market today. They can be customized to meet most design plans and are guaranteed to last the lifetime of the building.

When considering a custom elevator design, it is important to determine your specific need, some of which may be as follows: Weight Capacity,  type of load,  Travel distance,  Method of loading; Number of floors served and Freight Loading Class.

A freestanding Freight lift is built inside prefabricated steel hoistways. The welded steel hoistway structure fully contains the lift car, rails, controls, and drive system inside. Not only are CITI’s freestanding Freestanding easier to install, they are also less overall time consuming as compared to the normal hoistway models

CITI Elevators Pit-less (optional) Freight Elevator  Lifts (Freight Platform Lift) transport material/goods and an Attendant safely and easily from one level to another, in storage facilities, warehouses, retail stores, health care facilities and anywhere else that needs to move freight short distances. CITI Elevators material lifts are governed by the ASME A17.1 / CSA B44 safety standards, which allow for 5m or 16’5″ of travel distance—7.6m or 25′ in Ontario–and a maximum lift speed of 0.15m/sec (30ft./min).

CITI freight l lifts are able to serve two or more landings, and are also available in our pit-less or ramp design.

We recommend and offer different freight elevator styles based on your desired application and specific requirements. As always, our Team is experienced in customizing standard designs to fit any application.  Freight elevators can be as small is 15 sq/ft to as large as the project requires.  with a load capacity starting at 1000lbs (454kg) to up to 20,000lbs (9091kg)

Small freight elevator lifts are designed for when you don’t have the need to carry large items but need more then 48″ in cab height.  size form as small at 36″w X 36″d X 80″h to 36″w X 60″d X80″ h (up to 15sq/ft) with a weight capacity of 1000lbs (454 kg)

General Information about Freight Elevators and lifts.

Freight elevators and lift usually travel at lower speeds than passenger elevators, but they are built to carry heavier loads and disigned to withstand tougher working conditions. We recommend and offer different freight elevator styles based on your desired application and specific requirements. As always, our Team is experienced in customizing standard designs to fit any application
